Paddy and Kathy would like to offer a friendly welcome to you and hope you enjoy browsing around our web pages, which have been compiled to give you a little more information about our family businesses. We look forward to meeting you in due course and hope you will enjoy your experience playing golf... a lovely walk in the countryside is not to be missed! We moved to St. Erth village over 30 years ago and bought an old farmhouse and cottages with some land which was previously owned by Kathy's great aunt and uncle. We then set about creating the pitch & putt course. Our first business, Penwith Pitch & Putt, which has 18 holes, has now been trading for over 24 years! About 10 years ago we opened Greenacres Golf, a 9 hole short golf course which is situated opposite the Pitch & Putt.
Penwith Pitch & Putt, which only opens seasonally shall close on Sunday 2nd October also and will not re-open until Easter 2012. We are both animal lovers and often have one or two of our dogs behind the counter, giving us a helping hand!! All our family live close to us and often help us run the businesses. |
How To Find Us The businesses are situated in beautiful Cornish countryside on the outskirts of the pretty village of St.Erth, Hayle, Cornwall. It is within easy access of the main A30.... look for the brown & white signs on the St. Erth/St. Ives roundabout.
Click to enlarge. Opening Times Greenacres Short Golf is open daily to the end of September, and from then on will open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only throughout the winter months. Greenacres is open from 9am Summer months. Open 10am Winter months. Last round to start by 5pm. Close 6pm. Closing times may vary during the winter. * Penwith Pitch & Putt is open daily to the end of September, when it will then close down for the season. Penwith Pitch & Putt is open from 10am. Last round to start by 4pm. Close 6pm. Closed when wet. * Both courses will re-open 7 days a week in Easter 2012. |

Paddy is usually found over at Greenacres Golf, but since having a stroke back in May of this year, he now has a helping hand from Kathy. Since the stroke, Paddy tires very easily, so due to his poor health, )
